Scrooge, actually just call him David, breaks his foot at the most inopportune time, right before Christmas. Does that mean the planned parties, vacation, etc., etc., are now going to all be ruined because David is hobbling around on a broken foot? It sounds like there's many lessons to be learned here.

At the final rehearsal of his school's Christmas play, David is knocked out by a piece of scenery that is being carried by his teacher, Mrs. Hearting. In David's coma, he is visited by . . . . (Yes, the plot thickens!).

CAST
  • Father - (A very stern, military type, totally absorbed in the pursuit of money, higher position at work, etc.
  • Mother - Socially oriented; takes her cues from Dad.
  • David - A good kid suffering from the consequences of disobedience.
  • Kim - David's 'special' friend, trying to help, but not afraid to needle' if she feels David is missing the point.
  • Mary - A little more mature spiritually than the others.
  • Mike - Full of life, funny, and David's best friend.
  • Susan - A little 'dingy,' starting to become aware that boys are different.
  • Jason - Another friend of David.
  • Mr. Bah T. Humbug - Older, unhappy and cynical - could be played for laughs.
  • Robert Goodguy - A 'Mr. Clean"type, soft-spoken and friendly.
  • Mrs. Hearting - (Teacher) Jolly, caring and down-to-earth.
  • The Pastor - Ideally, the actual minister. The spiritual core of the Musical is in his hands.
